Maude Abbot was born around 1869 in St. Andre'd Agentineuil, Quebec. She came from a wealthy family.
After the death of her mother, and the abandonment of her father, she was set out to live with her grandmother with her two other sisters. As she was growing up she had a dream of wanting to become a part of the medical field.
By the time she obtained collage, she was one of the first Canadian women that achieve her part into the medical field. Although she was given little opporunities by the men in the field, she transformed them in major accomplishments. When she attempted to apply into McGill University, she was rejected, forcing to apply in Bishop's Collage. Around 1928, she published a written paper that became an outstanding research to the school. In fact, it was so outstanded, the Director of Pathology, Dr. Geogre Adami asked her to join in partnership in researching.
As she was moving up in research, she was invited to teach at the Medical Muesum, which is now know as Maude Abbot Medical Muesum. From there she made of the greatest accomplishments, which until today it captures our minds.
